Inside a Jet Engine: explore every stage in 3D
I created an interactive 3D model of a turbofan jet engine and recorded a real-time walkthrough with annotations highlighting each key component: • Fan - Pulls in air and creates thrust • Low Pressure Compressor - Compresses air for the next stage • High Pressure Compressor - Increases air pressure for combustion • Combustor - Burns fuel with compressed air to release energy • High Pressure Turbine - Powers the high pressure compressor • Low Pressure Turbine - Drives the fan

🌱 From Greenhouse Gas to Valuable Material
I created the cover illustration for PM Magazin, titled “Vom Klimagas zum Wertstoff” - which translates to “From Greenhouse Gas to Valuable Material.” The cover shows how CO₂, usually seen as a problem, can be transformed into useful materials like plastics and clean concrete. I also made a short video showing the creative journey: starting inside my 3D software, morphing into the fully rendered illustration, and finally into the polished cover layout. It’s a neat way to see

From CAD to Spin: showcasing a DJI Drone in 360°
Here’s a behind the scenes look at a 360° spin animation of a DJI drone. I highlight the wireframe version, showing the geometry and structure that make the design so sleek and functional. 🔧 Highlights: • Accurate CAD-based modelling • Wireframe view with simple rig • Smooth 360° rotation for full perspective A quick showcase of design and engineering working together - perfect for technical marketing, product visualization, or online demos.

17 years of freelancing and Im just getting started
When I look back over the past 17 years of freelance life, I see more than just time passing, I see a continuous evolution: from curious beginner to confident specialist, from side project to full-time studio, from freelance hustle to trusted partner for industrial & B2B clients. My professional journey into freelance began when I realized that what I really loved was turning CAD data and technical concepts into visual stories. Today I describe myself as a 3D visualization sp

Orbiting in 3D: A Real-Time Exploration of the International Space Station
This is a real-time 3D model of the International Space Station — a project that brings one of humanity’s most complex engineering achievements into an interactive, explorable form. Instead of showing static renders, I recorded a live walkthrough of the station model. You can freely navigate around the solar arrays, trusses, and modules, giving a sense of scale and structure that is hard to capture in still images. Interactive Model 🎯 Why this matters: Interactive 3D is a po

Making Sustainable Tech Tangible: Exploring an Energy-Efficient House in Real-Time 3D
This is an interactive 3D model showcasing a modern energy-efficient home. Not as a static render, but as a real-time walkthrough. In this screen recording, I take you through the model just as a viewer would explore it themselves. Every key sustainability feature can be highlighted directly inside the scene: – A compact wind turbine integrated into the property – Rainwater collection and storage flowing into the home’s utility systems – Geothermal heating via horizontal grou

Season's Greetings: we made the deadline
Well, we somehow made it! Another year of pushing pixels, conquering deadlines, and figuring out what our clients really meant by "make it pop." We’re genuinely looking forward to the inspiring challenges you'll bring us in 2026, and we promise to be even faster, sharper, and slightly less caffeinated when we start! We are grateful for your continued support and collaboration, and we look forward to creating more inspiring projects together in the year ahead. Warmest wishes

Blown Film Illustrated - Interactive and Online
The illustration I created for Octagon’s blown film extruder now live on their website ( solutions page ) - complete with interactive annotations explaining each special feature of the machine. It’s exciting to see visuals that were originally designed for a trade show wall now actively guiding customers on the company’s most important online presence. Seeing my work embedded and used this way is always satisfying, turning complex machinery into something people can explore,

Visualizing the future of underwater exploration
I created a series of illustrations for Deep, a company dedicated to radically advancing human access to underwater environments. These visuals showcase their flagship habitat, designed to let humans live, work, and explore at the bottom of the sea. 🌊 Seeing is Believing: When exploring uncharted frontiers, visuals are essential. They transform abstract ideas into something tangible and immersive. By showing how humans could interact with the habitat, conduct research, and m

Nanobubbles Offshore
I had the chance to create two illustrations for Moleaer, showing their Nanobubble Generators in action on floating platforms and boats. There’s something fascinating about visualizing something invisible - tiny bubbles doing big work to keep fish farms healthy, oxygenated, and productive. It’s exciting to see technology making a real difference for aquaculture around the world. These illustrations give a sense of how the generators are deployed, how they interact with the en

Why your marketing team should consider freelancers or small teams
Marketing teams know the power of visuals, but when it comes to 3D rendering, who should you trust: a big company or a freelancer/small team? Here’s the reality: both can deliver, but your choice can impact speed, cost, and creativity. Why freelancers or mini teams are winning marketing hearts: 1️⃣ Flexibility: Tight deadline? Last-minute change? Small teams adapt fast—no endless approvals, no slow-moving processes. 2️⃣ Cost Efficiency: Big agencies come with big overhead.

Visualizing the Hidden Heroes of EV Production
This isn't just a pretty picture; it's a look at how seriously cool (and necessary) visualization is becoming in engineering. Forget using CGI just for a glossy final product shot. We're now diving into the messy, crucial internals, like this super-detailed section of a battery assembly , and tell a richer story. The star of this visualization? A tiny, but mighty, slip ring . It's the kind of component you never see, but without it, the whole system falls apart. For more inf

Blueprints to Brilliance - CAD to Render
I really believe turning a concept into a visualization is both an art and a process. For me, it usually starts with CAD, the technical side where every dimension, curve, and surface is laid out. It’s precise and necessary, but honestly, it’s just the skeleton. The real fun begins when it moves into a render. That's where I like to come in. Rendering is where things start to feel alive. Materials get texture, light adds mood, and perspective suddenly tells a story. It’s where

When pixel pushing meets real hammering
All week it’s renders, revisions, and meetings. Then comes Saturday: plumber, painter, gardener… and apparently part-time architect. This photo shows me with my freshly finished aluminum garden house. 1,000 screws and an impressive vocabulary of curse words later… it’s done. Another project is officially complete. Which naturally means: time to start the next one. 😄
