🌐 The Digital Backbone – Visualizing Germany’s Data Networks

For one of PM Magazin’s title stories, I created the illustration for “Das Rückgrat der Nation – Datennetze: Der Weg zur Digitalisierung”. The article explores how Germany’s data networks are evolving, and what needs to change for true digital progress.

The artwork itself is not a cutaway this time, but a broad, stylized visualization of the country’s digital infrastructure: fiber-optic routes, network nodes, communication flows, and the invisible systems that keep modern society connected.

To go with it, I also produced a short video showing the whole creative arc, starting inside 3ds Max, transitioning into the final rendered illustration, and finally blending into the complete PM Magazin cover. A small glimpse into how complex subjects become clear visual narratives.
