In this blog post, we take you behind the scenes of creating an impressive exploded animation. These animations provide fascinating insights into the technology and design of modern electric cars by visually breaking down their individual components.
An exploded animation shows the parts of a complex object — in this case, a Tesla car — pulled apart in a detailed, often 3D rendered view. This helps explain technical details and the function of each component in an easy-to-understand way.
Creating such an animation requires both technical expertise and an eye for detail. First, 3D models of the Cars components are prepared. Accuracy is crucial to ensure every part is represented to scale.
Next, the models are animated: the parts “explode” outward so that each component can be examined individually. Meanwhile, the camera moves to provide the best viewing angles.
